A fire broke out at an industrial site in the city of Boryspil, Kyiv region, due to a massive attack from Russia on the night of June 10.
Source: State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and Boryspil Mayor Ihor Sapozhko on Telegram, as well as SES spokesperson for Kyiv region, Victoria Ruban, in a comment to Ukrainska Pravda.
According to SES: "As a result of a combined enemy strike, a fire occurred at one of the industrial facilities. Firefighters extinguished the blaze over an area of 2500 square meters."
Details: The exact name or address of the facility is not disclosed by rescuers, but it is noted that the fire occurred in the Boryspil community.
To combat the large-scale fire, a total of 104 firefighters and 35 pieces of equipment were involved.
Later, SES spokesperson Victoria Ruban clarified that the fire took place on the outskirts of Boryspil. When asked about the fire trucks marked "Boryspil Airport," she explained that the fire did not occur at the airport.
"No, no, it’s not the airport. These trucks were just called in. They are always involved in extinguishing such large-scale fires. Another facility in the city of Boryspil was on fire," the spokesperson said.
Furthermore, due to Russian attacks, private residential buildings, garages, and civilian vehicles in Brovary, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts of Kyiv region were damaged. Information about casualties is being clarified, SES noted.
At the same time, Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko reported that around 20 private houses in Brovary and Trebukhiv were damaged, and a vehicle in Brovary was also damaged by debris.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties," Sapozhko stated.
