The Kherson region has once again been under attack from Russian forces. According to the regional police press service, the enemy has been shelling residential areas with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, and drones.
Strikes were recorded in Kherson city and the villages of Antonivka, Molodizhne, Sadove, Oleksandrivka, Stanislav, Bilozirka, Nezlamne, Dniprovskoye, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Burgunka, and Mykhailivka.
Antonivka was hit by artillery fire, where a 74-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife became trapped under the rubble after a shell struck their home. They managed to free themselves and were rescued by volunteers and taken to the hospital. The couple suffered from blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds.
A medical intervention was also required for an 82-year-old resident of the settlement who was caught in the shelling on May 8. He was diagnosed with blast injuries.
A 47-year-old woman from Kherson sought medical assistance after being injured by the artillery shelling in the «Shumenskyi» microdistrict on May 11. She was diagnosed with blast injuries and a shoulder wound.
Overall, the shelling damaged four apartment buildings and five private houses, a cell tower, two police service vehicles, a recreation center building, two warehouses, and a summer kitchen.
