Due to technical upgrades at "a major data center," there have been temporary disruptions in the functionality of mobile applications, as reported by "Diia".
Source: "Diia", Kyiv City Administration, head of "Monobank" Oleg Horokhovsky
Details: Users on social media report that banking apps, "Nova Poshta," "Diia," and "Kyiv Digital" are not functioning properly.
Horokhovsky speculates that a hacker attack may have targeted one of the major data centers.
The Kyiv City Administration noted that due to the technical failure at "Oschadbank," contactless payment for metro rides is unavailable.
Currently, passengers can pay for rides via:
- transport cards;
- qr-code generated in the Kyiv Digital app;
- paper qr-tickets.
Updated: It was later clarified that the issue was not related to a cyber attack. The power outage occurred during scheduled maintenance at the De Novo data center.
