The Ukrainian esports team B8 (34) has triumphed over Astralis in a match that secured their spot in the most prestigious tournament of the season in Counter-Strike 2 – the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
The match concluded with a score of 2:1. The "Baits" managed to outplay their opponent on the Mirage and Ancient maps, despite losing on Inferno.
This marks B8's first appearance in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. They also became the second team in history to qualify for a major with five Ukrainian players in their lineup.

On their path to the Major, B8 lost to Metizport and SAW, but later eliminated the Russian team PARIVISION, Belize's BC.Game, and another Russian club 9Pandas, as well as defeating ENCE with a Ukrainian player in their roster.
It’s worth noting that the qualification matches in Europe will take place from April 14 to 17. The Austin Major 2025 will be held in the USA from June 2 to 22, with a prize pool of $1,250,000. Another Ukrainian team, NAVI, has already secured a spot in the Major.
Earlier, reports surfaced that Lviv is vying to host the esports world championship.
