The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in collaboration with NVIDIA, a global leader in computing solutions, has initiated a project to establish a national infrastructure based on artificial intelligence. According to the ministry's press service, the project aims to create a sovereign state of artificial intelligence with its own robust infrastructure and human resources.
NVIDIA's expertise will help implement revolutionary and secure services for both government and defense sectors.
The first initiative will involve the development of Diia AI LLM — a language model tailored to Ukrainian legislation and public needs, which will serve as the foundation for all AI services within the Diia ecosystem. This includes the already presented AI assistant on the portal and future mobile applications and internal government solutions.
As part of this collaboration, Ukraine will gain access to NVIDIA's specialized software stack for AI product development, along with technical support and consulting to accelerate model training and reduce costs.
An AI Factory will be established in Ukraine to support key government AI services, particularly the AI assistant in Diia, with future applications in defense, science, and medicine.
