The UA DroneID system, developed by the NGO "Aero reconnaissance" in collaboration with Cossack Labs, reduces the risk of friendly drone strikes on the battlefield by up to 90%. According to Defence Media, the technology was implemented in 2023 and is currently in use at the frontline. The system operates in real time, sending crucial data including mission outcomes and confirmations of hits. All information integrates into combat IT systems like DELTA, allowing for the avoidance of friendly fire incidents.
UA DroneID is compatible with various platforms, from reconnaissance drones to ground robotic systems. Currently, over 15 manufacturers are part of the ecosystem, with several more in the integration process.
Cossack Labs is responsible for the protocol architecture and data protection, while the Ministry of Digital Transformation assists with implementation. The Ministry of Defense coordinates the entire process, and "Aero reconnaissance" ensures integration into DELTA.
In the future, developers plan to expand the system's functionality, enhance positioning accuracy, and strengthen module security.
Previously, a new drone detector called "PES Sirko" was introduced in Ukraine, effectively working alongside electronic warfare systems.
