At the City Accelerator Demo Day, 16 startups showcased their unique projects. This event stemmed from the efforts of ISE Corporate Accelerator under the industrial and entrepreneurial development program for 2024–2025, as reported by Valentyn Mondryivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

One of the main initiatives is the establishment of a new accelerator that brings together startups and municipal enterprises of Kyiv to seek innovative solutions for urban infrastructure. The goal of the program is to create a corporate architecture that meets the needs of the city's municipal enterprises.

Kyiv ranked 5th in the StartupBlink rating, highlighting the development of the innovative ecosystem in Eastern Europe. This underscores the capital's status as a hub for startups and innovations, where digital technologies are actively implemented to enhance citizens' lives.

Valentyn Mondryivskyi noted that startups have enormous potential for collaboration with municipal enterprises, leading to the realization of projects that significantly improve city management.

He also mentioned an upcoming visit to Washington in September 2024.

“Meetings with representatives of the World Bank and other partners will help introduce the best international practices to Kyiv. Currently, projects on energy efficiency and digitalization are being implemented across various sectors,” he emphasized.

Special attention was given to the development of the Kyiv Digital mobile application.

“Kyiv Digital was created 4 years ago primarily as a transport service. During the war, its concept changed, and it now focuses on preserving the lives of citizens and coordinating actions. Today, it has become a unified digital tool that is convenient for residents and serves as a hallmark for the city authorities,” added Petro Olenych, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Administration.

The City Accelerator program is aimed at collaboration with municipal enterprises that ensure critical infrastructure, including “Kyivenergo,” “Kyivkommunservis,” “Kyiv Metro,” and others.

During the Demo Day, a startup competition took place, covering topics such as energy efficiency, utility services, environmental initiatives, mobility, and digital services.

“Only close cooperation between startups, municipal enterprises, and the city will enable the implementation of innovative projects that will make Kyiv more comfortable for its residents,” concluded Valentyn Mondryivskyi.
