The Ukrainian government has revised its decree regarding the implementation of 5G technology, with testing scheduled in Lviv, Kharkiv, and Borodyanka.

This was announced by Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

"Kharkiv and Borodyanka have suffered significant damage due to shelling, making it crucial to test the technology under challenging conditions. Ukraine is capable of embracing innovations even amidst supply disruptions and limited resources," Fedorov stated.

One of the goals of the testing is to assess the potential of 5G in urban reconstruction.

The testing is set to commence in the fall of 2025.
