The world ice hockey championship took place in Hungary from April 20 to 26.

Among the participants was Ilya Bobrov, a product of the Odessa children and youth sports school 'Dzhinistra' and the goalkeeper for the Ukraine U18 team.

The Ukrainian team achieved an impressive result, securing second place.

Seven teams competed in Division 1A, and Ukraine's results were as follows:

Hungary – Ukraine 1:7;

Ukraine – Denmark 1:5;

Ukraine – Australia 6:3;

Ukraine – Slovenia 7:1;

Kazakhstan – Ukraine 2:3.

The athlete was coached by Ruslan Korop, a teacher at the 'Dzhinistra' sports school.

There are 69 young athletes training in the ice hockey department.
