The Ukrainian horting team has made an outstanding achievement by securing first place in the overall standings at the European championship.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Horting Federation.

The competition took place from April 25 to 28 in Milan, Italy, featuring 64 athletes from various regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Rivne, Transcarpathia, and the capital.

The athletes competed for nearly 180 sets of medals across three categories: combat, wrestling, and self-defense. Age categories started from 12 years old.

According to the results of Euro-2025, Ukrainian athletes won 57 gold medals, making them the champions of the tournament. Italy secured second place, and France took third.

Horting is a modern martial art that originated in Ukraine. The founders explain that the term horting is derived from the name of the island Khortytsia, where the Zaporizhian Sich was located.
