Artem Dovbyk, forward for Roma and the Ukrainian national team, has been named the best player of March in Serie A.

This was reported by the press service of the elite division of the Italian championship.

The Ukrainian won the fan voting, surpassing other nominees including Nicolo Barella (Inter), Lucas Da Cunha (Como), Nicolo Fagioli (Fiorentina), Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna), and Umar Sadiq (Udinese).

Dovbyk is the second Ukrainian to win the Player of the Month award in Serie A. Ruslan Malinovskyi previously won it twice – in May 2021 and February 2022 while playing for Atalanta.

In March, Dovbyk played 4 matches in Serie A for Roma, scoring 3 goals. This is his first Player of the Month award in the Italian league.

Overall, this season, the former Girona forward has recorded 16 goals and 4 assists in 40 matches for Roma across all competitions. Claudio Ranieri's team currently sits in 7th place in the Serie A standings.
