WTA Rankings Update: Ukrainian Players in Focus

Explore the latest WTA rankings update featuring Elina Svitolina and other Ukrainian tennis players maintaining their standings.

On Monday, April 7, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) released its updated rankings. Elina Svitolina, the top-ranked player from Ukraine, remains in the top twenty of the world’s best female tennis players.

The top ten saw just one change: American Jessica Pegula climbed to third place after winning the tournament in Charleston, where she defeated fellow American Sofia Kenin in the final.

Alongside Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk is also in the top thirty, though she slipped one position to now sit at 25th.

Diana Yastremska held steady at 46th, while Angelina Kalinina improved her ranking to 65th.

Julia Starodubtseva and Daria Snigur remain within the top 200, at 103rd and 140th places, respectively.

It’s worth noting that throughout the week, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Katarina Zavatska, Lyudmyla Kichenok, and Nadiia Kichenok will represent Ukraine in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers.

The matches will take place from April 10 to 12 on the clay courts of the Radom Sports Center in Radom, Poland. Our team will face the host nation and the Swiss team.
