The Ukraine Wrestling Cup for men and women was dedicated to the fallen warriors of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine «Azov».
The event took place on November 29-30 in the Kyiv athletics arena. The Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestling championship was also held concurrently. The opening ceremony was attended by Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports, Matviy Bidny, and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadym Hutsait.
For the third consecutive year, the Ivano-Frankivsk region team claimed the title in the men's wrestling category.
In the women's competition, the trophy was won by the Lviv region team.
The Ukraine Cup weighs 16 kilograms, crafted from sterling silver and 22-karat gold on its handles. This trophy can confidently be referred to as the sports Oscar, as it was created by Saxton Industrial, the maker of prestigious film awards.
