The second playoff match of the Ukrainian hockey championship saw the Kyiv Capitals lose at home to Kremenchuk.
The final score was 1:4.
After a scoreless first period, the teams really engaged in the second 20 minutes. The visitors took the lead following a face-off in the opponent's zone, with Artem Tselogorodtsev scoring past the Kyiv goalie (0:1).
The Capitals quickly equalized, with 41-year-old Serhiy Chernienko being first on the rebound after the puck got stuck at Kremenchuk's crease (1:1).
Midway through the third period, Tselogorodtsev scored again, making a powerful shot from a sharp angle (1:2). A few minutes later, Bohdan Piddubnyi doubled the lead with a long shot that the Kyiv goalie couldn't see (1:3).
The final goal of the match was scored by Kremenchuk's goalie Eduard Zakharchenko, who hit the empty net from his own half.
