World heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has risen to the top spot among the most popular boxers on BoxRec. According to BoxRec, the 38-year-old Ukrainian has overtaken former two-time world champion in the super middleweight category, Saul Alvarez.
Usyk is currently followed by 7,734 fans on BoxRec, while Canelo has 6,912. Coming in eighth place is Vasyl Lomachenko with 4,180 followers, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
The Top 10 also includes two of Usyk's former opponents: Tyson Fury ranks seventh with 4,199 fans, while Anthony Joshua rounds out the list with 3,976 followers.
It's worth noting that Usyk's team is already in talks with Fabio Wardley regarding a title fight for the WBO championship.
Additionally, there are discussions about who could replace Usyk in the bout against Wardley if an agreement on a title match cannot be reached.
