Kyiv Marathon: A Test of Resilience

On October 12th, the Kyiv Marathon of resilience took place on Trukhaniv Island, showcasing the best marathon runners of Ukraine.

On October 12th, the Kyiv Marathon of resilience was held on Trukhaniv Island, incorporating the Ukrainian championship in marathon running for adults and youth. Participants faced the true marathon distance of 42.195 km. Kyiv celebrated one male champion and one female medalist.
The men's winner was Maxim Anenko from Kyiv, completing the race in 2:21:17. Second place went to Roman Skuridin from Luhansk with a time of 2:23:57, while third place was claimed by Dmytro Siruk from Rivne (2:24:28). Maxim's coaches were Mykola Nyzhnyk and Oleksiy Pisarev. Competing in the same race was Oleksandr Kalachov from Kyiv, finishing eleventh with a time of 2:44:41, along with two representatives from the Kyiv region: Yuriy Kuzinsky (6th place, 2:33:37) and Pavlo Zabolotny (12th place, 2:57:57).
In the women's competition, Olena Pitirimova from Kyiv took second place with a time of 3:01:37, while the champion was Ivanna Melnyk from Dnipropetrovsk, finishing in 2:49:31.
