September 23, 2000, marks a significant day in the history of Ukrainian sports. On this day, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine celebrated an incredible feat by Ukrainian shooter Mykola Milchev at the Sydney Olympics.
In the «trap shooting» event, he achieved an astonishing result by hitting all 150 targets – 125 in qualifying and 25 in the final. This milestone became historic as he was the first athlete to complete a perfect series in Olympic history.
This record will remain unmatched forever. No one has been able to replicate it in the 25 years since.
