The Ukrainian fencer Vlada Kharkova amazed everyone by winning the CISM World Championship for military personnel held in Seville, Spain.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Fencing Federation.
Today, September 20, in the finals of the sabre fencing championship, Kharkova faced Swiss competitor Angeline Favre.
The bronze medalist from the 2024 European Championship tried to compete with the 28-year-old Ukrainian, but was unsuccessful - Vlada secured a decisive victory with a score of 15:9, becoming the world champion.
Notably, this gold medal marks Kharkova's second in her career, as she previously won her debut world championship title in July at a tournament in Georgia.
In total, the Ukrainian team concluded the CISM World Championship 2025 with five medals (two golds, one silver, two bronzes).
