They competed against the duo of neutral Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens, finishing with a score of 6:4, 6:1. The match lasted 1 hour and 21 minutes, and unfortunately, our players committed 6 double faults while their opponents made just one.
Neither pair managed to serve an ace, but the opponents showed better conversion on break points: 4 out of 5 for Kudermetova and Mertens versus 1 out of 5 for Kostyuk and Ruse.
