Ukraine's Boxing Team Set for World Championship

Details about Ukraine's team composition for the world boxing championship in 2025.

The Ukrainian team has finalized its lineup for the boxing world championship!

This prestigious event will take place in Liverpool, England, from September 4 to 14, 2025, featuring over 550 athletes from 65 countries.

The team composition was determined based on the results of sparring sessions held in Boyany, Chernivtsi region.

Men's team: Siyovush Mukhamadiyev (50 kg), Oleg Chulyacheev (55 kg), Aider Abdurayimov (60 kg), Elvin Aliyev (65 kg), Yuriy Zakhariev (70 kg), Pavlo Illiushа (75 kg), Matviy Razhba (80 kg), Danilo Zhasan (85 kg), Bohdan Tolmachov (90 kg), Dmytro Lovchynskyi (90 kg+).

Women's team: Hanna Okhota (48 kg), Yaroslavа Marinchuk (51 kg), Viktoriya Shkeul (54 kg), Darya-Olga Hutarina (57 kg), Tetiana Dovhal (60 kg), Nataliia Merinova (65 kg), Anastasia Chernokolenko (70 kg), Olha Pylypchuk (75 kg), Iryna Lutsak (80 kg), Maria Lovchynska (80 kg+).

«Visas are ready, tickets are also booked, everything is paid for; we just need to finalize the names of the athletes who will compete. We have been selecting our top athletes until the last moment, and only today during training did we confirm the final lineup,» said Oleg Ilchenko, President of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, during an open training session.

«Our team is young, and for some boxers, this will be their first world championship. Everyone is determined to win; our country is at war, and each boxer will defend the honor of the country with maximum dedication,» added Serhiy Hlushchenko, head coach of the Ukrainian men's boxing team.
