Central defender Illya Zabarnyi from Bournemouth and the Ukrainian national team has signed with Paris Saint-Germain.

The club's press service confirmed this news, noting that PSG is the current UEFA Champions League holder.

Zabarnyi arrived in Paris with his wife Angelina. In the French capital, he underwent a medical examination and finalized the transfer agreement.

The Ukrainian player's contract with the Parisian club extends until 2030, with the transfer fee reported to be €63 million plus bonuses according to Transfermarkt. He will wear the number 6 jersey in his new team.

Thus, Zabarnyi's transfer is the second most expensive among Ukrainian footballers. The record is held by Mykhailo Mudryk, for whom Chelsea paid €70 million in 2023.

Additionally, the cumulative value of all of Zabarnyi's transfers throughout his professional career now totals €85.7 million, making him the most valuable footballer in the history of Ukrainian football.
