Ukrainian Rowers Shine at the 2025 World Games

Ukrainian rowers secured 4 medals at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu.

At the 2025 World Games taking place in Chengdu, China, the Ukrainian team has added new medals to its collection.

In the dragon boat racing events, Ukrainian athletes won 4 medals across 5 finals held on August 10.

In the 200-meter race among 8-person boats, the Ukrainians finished in 5th place; however, the 10-person boat crew secured a bronze medal in the 200-meter race.

The silver medal was earned by the 10-person crew in the 500-meter event, while gold medals were claimed by the open 8-person boat crew in the 500-meter race and the 10-person team in the 2000-meter pursuit race.

The Ukrainian dragon boat team at the 2025 World Games included: Viktor Svyrydyuk, Mykola Verkhovetskyi, Yuriy Bardashevskyi, Serhiy Semeniuk, Oleksandr Kalmyus, Danylo Kukhariuk, Olesia Matviyenko, Anastasia Mazurenko, Olha Buraho, Snizhana Zhygailo, Kateryna Petrenko, Olena Skvortsova.

Following these results, Ukraine climbed to third place in the medal standings with a total of 8 medals, 4 of which are gold. Germany leads the list with a total of 18 medals, 8 of which are gold.
