Mykhailo Kokan has become the champion of the World Summer Universiade 2025!
This Ukrainian athlete clinched the gold medal in the hammer throw event. In his best attempt, the fourth one, our bronze medalist from the 2024 Olympics threw the hammer a distance of 77.10 m. The silver medal was won by Germany's Merlin Gummell with 77.03 m, while the bronze went to Italy's Giorgio Olivieri with 73.78 m.
After a week of competitions, the Ukrainian team has secured 11 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze) and stands seventh in the overall medal ranking of the Universiade 2025.
