The European Team Chess Championship for youths was held in Slovenia, featuring two age categories – under 12 and under 18.
Ultimately, the girls secured two silver medals for Ukraine. The boys' team exhibited strong performance, finishing fifth in both categories.
In the under-12 competition, Ukraine was represented by Solomiya Svitenko and Yana Marusin, while Sofia Moskaleets and Yana Toroptsova competed in the under-18 category.
Notably, Poland claimed victory in both age categories for girls. Among the boys, the U-18 title also went to Poland, while Romania triumphed in the U-12 group.
Interestingly, these medals marked Ukraine's first achievement in youth classical competitions since 2016.
