Ukrainian karate competitors Yuri Pavliuk and Nikita Hlushku showcased their stance during the awards ceremony at the third stage of the Youth League.

The event took place from June 26 to 29 in Poreč, Croatia, hosting the third stage of the Karate 1-Youth League.

On the final day, U-14 athletes competed for medals, with Pavliuk and Hlushku among them: Yuri secured gold while Nikita took home bronze.

A neutral athlete from Belarus, Daniil Prakapenka, also stood on the podium. However, immediately following the awards, Pavliuk and Hlushku notably left the podium, refusing to take a photo with the representative of the aggressor country.

It is worth noting that Ukrainian athletes have also become world champions in modern pentathlon among juniors.
