The Ukrainian women's volleyball team achieved a significant victory in the final match of the Golden European League 2025, defeating their Hungarian opponents.

Golden European League, Women
Final, June 29
Score: Ukraine – Hungary 3:1 (25:16, 23:25, 25:15, 25:17)
In the semifinals, the Ukrainian team easily overcame Sweden, not allowing them to win a single set. Meanwhile, Hungary triumphed over Romania in a five-set match.
It is important to note that winning the Golden European League does not guarantee Ukraine a direct entry into the Nations League.
To qualify for the Nations League, a high ranking position among those not currently participating in the tournament is required; the Ukrainian team will compete for this spot against Argentina and Puerto Rico.
This marks Ukraine's third victory in the history of the Golden European League finals, with previous wins in 2017 and 2023.
As a reminder, in late January, the women's team appointed a new head coach. The 39-year-old Polish specialist Jakub Gluszak took the helm, previously coaching the Tauron League club "Radomka" from Radom.
