The match took place in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and ended with a score of 3:0.
In the first set, the Ukrainians showcased a strong performance, securing an early lead with several successful plays. They ultimately won the set 25:22.
The second set was much more competitive, with uncertainty over the victor until the very end. It was only after the score reached 20:18 that Ukraine took control and won the set 25:20.
To achieve their first historical victory in the Nations League, Ukraine needed to win just one of the three remaining sets. Despite a somewhat rocky start in the next set, they managed to close out the match with a score of 25:23.
A special mention goes to Vasyl Tupchiy, who scored many crucial points, becoming the top scorer and greatly contributing to this historical achievement.
