36-year-old defenseman Alexey Melnikov will continue to represent the capital's hockey team.

“We are pleased to announce that experienced defenseman Alexey Melnikov will be with us for the upcoming season. His exceptional defensive skills last season were crucial for our stability and greatly assisted our goalkeepers,” the statement read.

The club emphasized their reliance on the player's skills, experience, and tenacity. In the 2024/2025 season, Melnikov recorded five assists.
