Ukrainian players Issuf Sanon, Vyacheslav Bobrov, and Ilya Sidorov have emerged as champions in Latvia.

The Riga VEF team triumphed over Ventspils in the finals, winning the series 3:1. In the decisive game, the Ukrainians secured a victory with a score of 93:91.

Issuf Sanon scored 25 points and provided 11 assists, while Bobrov also achieved a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sidorov contributed 3 points and 4 assists.

The MVP of the finals series was experienced VEF captain Dairis Bertans.

This trophy is not the first for the Ukrainians this season. In February, VEF won the Latvian Cup, and in early April, they triumphed in the Latvian-Estonian league.

The VEF basketball club was established in 1958 but ceased to exist in 1992. It was revived in 2007 and has since become champion of the country 12 times.
