The Ukrainian gymnastics team has made alterations to its roster for the European-2025 championship set to take place in Leipzig.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of Sports.

Olympic champion Oleg Vernyayev, who was previously on the reserve list, has now been included in the main team roster.

  • Nazar Chepurny
  • Oleg Vernyayev
  • Vladislav Gryko
  • Stasis Butrimas
  • Dmytro Prudko
  • Yegor Perepyolkin

The European Championship in gymnastics is scheduled for May 26-31 in Leipzig, Germany.

Recall that on May 6, the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine decided not to send Sartynsky to the European Championship where Ukrainian gymnasts were expected to perform.

However, athletes expressed their outrage at this decision and announced a boycott of the competition, accusing Federation Vice President Stella Zakharova of systematically undermining men's gymnastics in Ukraine.

Sartynsky believes he was sidelined from the European Championship because he does not yield to the Federation's influence. Previously, the UFG condemned the Ukrainian team's intent to boycott the European Championship.

In an exclusive comment, Zakharova stated that Vernyayev was the initiator of the Ukrainian team's boycott.
