The capital of Peru, Lima, hosted an international weightlifting championship where Ukraine achieved remarkable results.

According to the Ukrainian Weightlifting Federation, our team secured several medals.

In the under-20 category, Hanna Kalashnyk excelled in the over 87 kg weight class, earning a commendable second place in the clean and jerk with a result of 135 kg.

The absolute champion was Serhii Kotelevskyi, who triumphed in all events among the boys under 17: snatch, clean and jerk, and total. Volodymyr Chmykh also delighted us by becoming a silver and bronze medalist at the championship.

In the under-20 category (109+ kg class), Andrii Borovskyi captured a bronze medal in the clean and jerk (165 kg) and snatch (201 kg).
