The Kyiv police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident in which a man sustained a gunshot wound in the Svyatoshyn district of the capital on the morning of April 22.

According to law enforcement: "A report about a man found with a gunshot wound in the Svyatoshyn district was received today at 08:50. Police leadership, territorial unit officers, dog handlers, and medical staff rushed to the scene immediately."

Details: The victim has been hospitalized.

A forensic investigation team and other emergency services are working at the scene.

"The Kyiv police are determining the circumstances and searching for individuals involved in the crime. Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – attempted murder," police reported.

"Ukrainska Pravda" attempted to gather more details about the incident, but the Svyatoshyn police stated they currently have no further information.
