A Ukrainian man, who recently lost custody of his two children, unlawfully took them from school in Los Angeles and crossed the border into Mexico.
According to police, there is a possibility that the man intends to return to Ukraine, as reported by Fox News.

Authorities are searching for 39-year-old Rodion Kolomoets, who is suspected of abducting his own children – 9-year-old Aurora and 7-year-old Grant Kolomoets.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when he took the children from their educational institution without proper authorization.
According to the official statement from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), suspect Rodion Kolomoets is described as a Caucasian male with chestnut hair and gray eyes.
The statement also notes that he is a citizen of Ukraine and likely intends to return to his homeland with the children.

Police reported that the suspect was recorded at a border checkpoint in San Ysidro on the same day as his Toyota Prius crossed the US-Mexico border.
Currently, the whereabouts of the family remain unknown.
Law enforcement officials stated that the suspect and the children communicate primarily in Russian.
The police urge anyone with information about the children's or father's whereabouts to contact the LAPD.
