On April 1, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, who is set to resign, arrived in Ukraine for her 11th visit, likely to be the last during her tenure.
This was reported by the German Foreign Ministry, as stated by "European Truth".
At the train station, she was welcomed by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga and the German Ambassador to Kyiv, Martin Jaeger.
Upon arrival, Baerbock announced that Germany would provide an additional 130 million euros in humanitarian aid and stabilization measures to Ukraine, according to the Foreign Ministry.
"Given the deadlock in US-Russian relations, it is crucial that we show our unwavering support for Ukraine now more than ever," commented the German diplomat on her visit.
While in Kyiv, Baerbock is expected to meet with political figures and civil society representatives, as noted by the Foreign Ministry. The steps Ukraine is taking towards EU membership will also be discussed.
At the end of March, Baerbock announced that Germany would soon deliver new batches of arms to Ukraine to help defend against new Russian attacks.
Earlier, she welcomed the decision of the Bundestag's budget committee to allocate an additional 3 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2025.
