The Security Service of Ukraine has detained two individuals working for Russian military intelligence in the Dnipropetrovsk region. They were involved in directing drone and missile attacks on defense targets in the area. Investigations show that the detainees operated throughout the region, gathering and relaying crucial information.
One of the arrested is a 48-year-old woman who worked at a confectionery factory in Dnipro. She was recruited through an acquaintance who is currently in Russian captivity. The woman agreed to provide information about the aftermath of airstrikes on the regional center. With her assistance, the aggressors attempted to target key heavy industry enterprises in Ukraine. Additionally, she shared propaganda videos on her TikTok account, urging Ukrainians to surrender.
In Kryvyi Rih, a 45-year-old former police officer was also arrested for coordinating attacks on security force command posts and shelters within the city.
The SBU documented his espionage activities near police and National Guard units engaged in frontline fighting and defending against air attacks. The Security Service apprehended the agent, which helped secure the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
Based on the evidence collected, the detainees were notified of their suspicion of treason under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Both suspects are held in custody without the right to bail, facing life imprisonment.
