The Ukrainian Community Association (UCA) urges the Ukrainian community to join the campaign against the screening of the film "Russians at War" at the documentary film festival "Antenna" in Sydney by February 10.

The call states: "By uniting, we can halt the spread of Russian propaganda in Australia."

UCA is actively collaborating with festival organizers, reaching out to Australia’s Minister of Culture, Tony Burke, and key sponsors, while also ensuring media coverage of the incident. The letter-writing campaign has garnered nearly a thousand participants within the first 48 hours.

"But we need more support! If you oppose the screening of this film, write to the organizers and sponsors urging them to cancel the showing of 'Russians at War'!" UCA emphasized.

The letter-writing template is available here. Submissions are accepted until February 10.

"Let’s stand against disinformation, support Ukrainians, and uphold Australia’s values!" the organization stressed.

It is worth noting that the film "Russians at War" presents the stories of Russian occupiers alongside snippets of actual battles. Director Trofimova claims that she aimed to create an "anti-war" film showcasing "ordinary people" and countering the notion that all Russian military personnel are criminals.

Previously, the Zurich Film Festival canceled public screenings of the film, and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress conducted a campaign against its demonstration. Although the community achieved a suspension of screenings, the Toronto International Film Festival ignored these calls on September 17.

Meanwhile, in October, the Ukrainian community’s efforts succeeded in canceling screenings of the film in Greece.
