A car drove into a large crowd of supporters of the Liverpool football club celebrating the team's Premier League championship, reports Ukrinform, citing The Guardian.

The event occurred around 6 PM local time in the city center when the vehicle struck the crowd, resulting in nearly 50 people being injured, including children.
A 53-year-old white British man was arrested at the scene, who is believed to have been driving the vehicle.
The North West Ambulance Service confirmed that 27 people were taken to the hospital, with two of them, including one child, suffering serious injuries.
Additionally, 20 patients received assistance at the scene. In total, four children were among the injured.
Assistant Chief Constable of Merseyside, Jenny Sims, stated that the incident is not being treated as terrorism, and they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the event. The motives of the perpetrator have not been disclosed yet.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded to the incident, saying: «The events in Liverpool are horrific - my thoughts are with all those injured and affected. I am keeping abreast of developments and urge that police be given the necessary space to investigate».
The Liverpool football club also expressed its «thoughts and prayers» for those affected by the incident.
