The President of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed his concerns regarding the recent Russian missile strikes on Kyiv and his doubts about President Putin's intentions to end the conflict.

Details: Trump noted that he was dismayed by the missile strikes and emphasized his uncertainty about the seriousness of the Russian leader's intentions.
"Let’s see what happens in the coming days. We will likely learn a lot. I was very surprised that missiles were coming from Russia," Trump said as he departed from New Jersey.
According to him, Putin must demonstrate his willingness to engage in peace talks.
"I want him to stop shooting, sit down at the negotiation table, and sign an agreement," Trump added.
"I believe we have a basis for an agreement, and I want him to sign it so everything can end and we can return to normal life," he stated.
Trump also commented on his brief meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in the Vatican, mentioning that the Ukrainian president is doing everything possible for his country.
Direct quote: "It was a great meeting. He wants to do something good for his country. He is working very hard. What happens next – we will see. He told me that he needs more weapons. But he has been saying that from the very beginning."
