Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron are meeting in Rome in the context of the funeral of Pope Francis.
This was reported by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, as conveyed by "European Truth".
He stated that the leaders are discussing "further steps for peace" to end Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
"Right now: Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron are having a conversation about continuing peace initiatives," wrote Andriy Sybiha.
Previously, Zelensky met with US President Donald Trump, emphasizing that this meeting has the potential to be historic. The White House described the meeting as extremely productive.
Earlier, media outlets reported that the Trump administration provided Ukraine with a one-page document in Paris, which was presented as a "final proposal" for peaceful resolution. Among other points, the US is prepared to recognize Russia's control over Crimea and ease sanctions against Moscow.
On April 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the US offered its strategy regarding Ukrainian territories during negotiations in London, but he mentioned that "another document" emerged after the US proposal.
