A new joint investment fund between Ukraine and the USA is set to launch soon, allowing investments not just in natural resources but also in infrastructure projects.

This was announced by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrinform.

"This fund will serve as a unique financial instrument capable of investing in a variety of projects in Ukraine as opportunities arise.

Initially, we are focusing on natural resources, but we are also keen on attracting American investments in infrastructure projects: roads, ports, and energy," he emphasized.

He also clarified that this agreement will not require Ukraine to transfer its assets to the fund.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has already published the text of the memorandum with the USA regarding the conclusion of an agreement on economic partnership and an investment fund for reconstruction.

The next round of negotiations on resource extraction will commence in the USA on April 24, with technical details and formulations for the future investment fund currently under discussion.
