French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot described the meeting held in Paris on April 17 as a notable diplomatic achievement that brought American, European, and Ukrainian representatives to the same table.

In an interview on LCI, the minister stated that this event marked a significant accomplishment for his country.

Barrot emphasized that for the first time, representatives from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the USA met together, which is a considerable success in diplomacy.

"This is an important step towards our common goal — peace," he added.

He also stressed the importance of continuing dialogue, as the Americans are eager to end the war.

On April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron hosted a delegation from the USA at the Élysée Palace, and a meeting also took place between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives from France, Germany, and the UK.

The US Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, noted the productivity of the meetings in Paris and shared a photo with the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
