The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Fabien Mandon, to discuss the current situation on the front and the training of Mirage aircraft pilots. Syrskyi shared this information on his Facebook page.
He informed his French counterpart about the situation in combat zones. According to Syrskyi, the situation along the front line remains challenging, with the fiercest battles ongoing in the areas of Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Huliaipole.
"During the conversation, we discussed the key needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, particularly the training of Mirage pilots, strengthening air defense, and several other important aspects of defense cooperation," noted the Commander-in-Chief.
Syrskyi thanked General Fabien Mandon and the French military for their consistent and strong military support that France provides to Ukraine.
"A clear position serves as an example of steadfast and unwavering support for our state in its fight for independence," he emphasized.
The Commander-in-Chief also highlighted the leadership role of French President Emmanuel Macron in consolidating international partners around the idea of creating multinational forces in Ukraine as future security guarantees.
"Special thanks for the military equipment and ammunition provided, as well as for France's active participation in the Coalition of Capabilities supporting Ukraine," Syrskyi added.
