The foreign ministers of Ukraine and France, Andrii Sybiha and Jean-Noël Barrot, held a meeting where they discussed drone production, strengthening sanctions against Russia, and the use of frozen assets. The minister shared this on social media platform X.
«I had a productive meeting with my French colleague Jean-Noël Barrot at the Warsaw Security Forum. I am grateful for France's unwavering support for Ukraine, ranging from defense cooperation to our path towards the EU and NATO, as well as assistance within the G7», the minister stated.
The parties discussed further steps to promote peace through strength: increasing pressure on Russia via sanctions, utilizing frozen Russian assets, additional military support, and leadership in the Coalition of Willing to ensure security guarantees for Ukraine.
Military cooperation, including joint drone production, was also a focal point.
«Ukraine and France are united in strengthening European security», emphasized Sybiha.
As a reminder, Sybiha is visiting Warsaw on September 29 to participate in the Warsaw Security Forum.
