The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has begun his visit to Warsaw, where he met with the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. He shared this update on social media platform X.
"I expressed gratitude to the Senate for their support of Ukraine and Ukrainians in Poland. I informed the Marshal about the current situation on the battlefield and the recent escalation by Russia — deliberate attacks on civilians. We discussed Russian provocations against EU and NATO member states and how to deter the Kremlin," the Foreign Minister stated.
According to Sybiha, there is a mutual understanding that a "decisive, strong, and united response" is needed against such Russian tactics. He emphasized that Ukraine is ready to collaborate with Poland and other allies, sharing its experiences and facilitating joint decisive actions to halt Russia.
The parties also noted significant progress in addressing sensitive historical issues.
"It is essential to communicate this more effectively to Polish and Ukrainian societies to strengthen trust and good neighborly relations. I stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary diplomacy in this context," the minister concluded.
