Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction — Minister for Community and Territory Development Oleksii Kuleba met with an International Monetary Fund delegation to discuss key issues for future cooperation in supporting regions.

He announced this via Telegram.

«I had a meeting with the IMF delegation led by Gavin Gray. I outlined the key topics that determine the stability of the state and the daily lives of people,» - the message states.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the discussion primarily focused on supporting frontline regions, which account for over 75% of the destruction, as well as a comprehensive recovery of the devastated settlements.

A separate topic of discussion was ensuring a stable heating season. Kuleba stressed the need for sustainable mechanisms to support communal heating services and informed partners that the government is already working on resolving tariff differences.

«What is needed is not a temporary measure, but a comprehensive program that will not only settle accumulated debts but also form a new model for the industry. It must clear the sector of imbalances, establish clear rules, and implement transparent mechanisms,» - he added.

Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed in detail the reform of public investment management, which opens up opportunities for communities to implement development projects transparently. The issues of the banking sector's functioning and the development of Ukrposhta, which performs a social mission in frontline areas, were also addressed.
