President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that only Vladimir Putin makes decisions in Russia, thus highlighting the necessity for a meeting of leaders – the presidents of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia – to secure peace.

He made this statement during a press conference alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

«I believe that in Russia only Putin makes decisions. That's why we need a meeting at the leadership level if we truly want peace», Zelensky said.

In response to a question about contacts between the Russian dictator and the U.S. President, he replied: «I’m not sure they have many common topics, as they are absolutely different people. However, when it comes to Ukraine, we have always supported the idea of unconditional ceasefire proposed by President Trump».
