Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the outcomes of his conversation with the U.S. president, highlighting the focus on strengthening the air defense system and collaboration in the defense sector.
Zelensky stated on his Telegram: "We talked about the escalating situation on the front lines and Russian airstrikes. President Trump showed great concern for our situation, for which I am very grateful. We discussed air defense capabilities and agreed to further cooperation."
He also noted that they thoroughly examined the capabilities of the defense industry and prospects for joint projects.
"We are ready for specific projects with the U.S., as this is critically important for our security, particularly regarding drones and relevant technologies," the president mentioned.
Another significant topic was mutual procurement and investments. "We exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and our joint efforts with America and other partners," Zelensky stated.
He expressed gratitude for U.S. support and emphasized the necessity of a "worthy agreement for peace, and Ukraine stands behind American proposals."
