The European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Katerina Maternova, has commented on the latest Russian attacks aimed at Kyiv.

She shared her thoughts on social media, according to a report by "European Truth".

On May 24 in the morning, Maternova urged those who still doubt Russia's intentions to read the latest news.

The ambassador also noted that the areas affected by the strikes are where her colleagues live.

"Another horrific missile and drone attack on Ukraine. The main target is Kyiv. Many residential buildings are on fire, suffering severe damage. 15 people were injured," she stated.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of May 24, Russian forces launched 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 250 attack drones.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna reacted to the massive Russian shelling of Kyiv, stating that Russia's ongoing aggression can be simply explained: "it has not felt enough pressure to stop."
