Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared insights from his conversation with Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, who recently attended a parade in Moscow.

Zelensky reported on this in his social media, as noted by "European Truth".

According to the president, the discussion focused on Euro-integration and bilateral relations.

"I spoke with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. We discussed key issues – our Euro-integration and joint cooperation," Zelensky wrote.

"In particular, we talked about collaboration within the Ukraine – Southeastern Europe framework. We plan to enhance this initiative for greater effectiveness. We agreed on a schedule and committed to staying in touch," he clarified.

Vucic was one of the few European leaders to attend this year’s May 9 parade in Moscow, despite warnings from the EU.

After his trip to Moscow, he stated that Serbia remains committed to its EU accession plans and aims to expedite the process.

Russia is historically a traditional Orthodox ally of Serbia and a primary supplier of natural gas, with companies "Gazprom" and "Gazpromneft" also owning the Serbian oil company NIS. Moscow supports Belgrade in its stance against Kosovo’s independence. Meanwhile, Serbia continues to refuse to join EU sanctions against Russia.

Vucic had previously expressed confidence that Serbia's European path would not be harmed by his visit to Moscow.
