Details: The newly appointed head of Germany's foreign ministry clearly stated that Ukraine continues to pursue membership in both the EU and NATO.

"In NATO, we have collectively agreed that Ukraine is on the path to joining the defense alliance, and this path is irreversible. Germany stands by this decision," he stressed.

It is worth recalling that the administration of Donald Trump reportedly handed Ukraine a one-page document in Paris, which was presented as a "final proposal" for peace settlement. Among other things, the document suggested a commitment that Ukraine would not join NATO.

Meanwhile, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen expressed hope that the U.S. would change its stance against Ukraine's NATO membership.
